It's a time of life when Tony should reflect on all his achievements - we thought we would kill two birds with one stone - So we are having a Celebration of (The Comedy) Life for Tony V that will double as a Kick-Off Party for Boston Comedy Fest.
A chance to talk to Tony's "so-called friends" and say a few words to him and about him while he is still alive and kicking.
Frank Santorelli (The Sopranos)
Frank is an Italian-American who is best known for playing the recurring role of “Georgie the Bartender” in The Sopranos. Frank is also well known for his star role in The Godfathers of Comedy. Frank has starred in numerous movies, including No Reservations, Meet the Parents, and Crooked Lines.
Kevin Chapman (Rescue Me)
Kevin is an American actor known for playing an assortment of characters ranging from the obnoxious brother Terrence Garrity in FX's Rescue Me to street enforcer Val Savage in Clint Eastwood. He also appeared in the film Sunshine Cleaning, portrayed Detective Lionel Fusco on the CBS crime drama Person of Interest, Freddie Cork on Brotherhood, and guest starred in 24.
Steve Bjork
The Boston Globe recently described Steve Bjork as “one of the top names” in New England stand-up comedy. He’s come a long way from his nights of frying up mozzarella sticks in the back room of a popular Boston comedy club. He was a college student, using that part-time job to study the craft of stand-up comedy by catching glimpses of the performers on stage.
Jim McCue (Comedy Central)
Jim McCue went viral this year with his DryBar special “Nothing Personal” which has had over 4 million views, he has been featured on Comedy Central, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” Live at Gotham AXS TV, and “Roughing It” on NESN in his native New England.
Since 2000, Jim has also entertained U.S. troops at more than 100 bases around the world.
Lou Intoppa
A good friend of Tony V smokes cigars and plays poker and if Tony V says he's funny that's good enough for us!
Joey Carroll
Joey has been performing clean, thought provoking comedy for nearly 20 years. Steven Wright said “funny, smart and clever material” His comedy is the result of a unique life experience and always keeping a positive attitude no matter what life throws at him.
We don't know who might show up and perform or just hang out with the who's who of the Boston Comedy Scene.
Tony will receive his award at the Berklee Performance Center on March 30. 7:30 PM

Artie is one of Boston’s premier comedians. He’s a pharmacist by day and a comedian at night. He’s worked at the Comedy Connection of Boston, Nick Comedy Stop, and the Riviera in Las Vegas. He’s opened for Dom Irrera, Richard Lewis, Lenny Clarke, and many other national headliners. He is absolutely one of the most hilarious comedians in the country and will make any show a resounding success.
