BETTY is the iconic NYC-based Indie trio composed of Alyson Palmer (bass, guitar, vocals), Elizabeth Ziff (guitar, programming, vocals) and Amy Ziff (cello, vocals).
Their boundary-blurring live concerts, featuring a mix of a’cappella, upbeat synth pop, anthemic rock and avant-garde spoken-word interludes have energized audiences on every continent but one for over 38 years. They await their invitation to play Antarctica.
BETTY’s cultural legacy ranges from TV themes (including Showtime’s “The L Word,” HBO’s “Encyclopedia”) to starring in their hit Off-Broadway show, BETTY Rules, led by award-winning director Michael Greif (RENT, Dear Evan Hansen, Hell’s Kitchen) to their popular rock-and-rollercoaster podcast BETTY: Girlband and appearances in storied venues like Madison Square Garden, the Kennedy Center and Royal Albert Hall, all of which continue to create outlets for the band’s ongoing equal rights activism and quest for great harmony.
EAT, their 11th album, dropped September 2024, containing some of the most self-assured and pop-forward songs of their career while revealing vulnerability previously unexplored. Indie Boulevard calls EAT, “sublime 80’s bounce for a fierce 21st century feast.”
